About the Role
We are looking for creative and technically curious Product Design & Industrial Design Interns to contribute to new product concepts and physical product development.
You will help translate user problems and product opportunities into thoughtful, functional and manufacturable designs, collaborating with research and engineering team members.

Requirements
Students or recent graduates in Product Design, Industrial Design, Mechanical Design or related disciplines.
Strong interest in physical product development, design innovation and user-centred design.
Familiarity with SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360 or similar 3D CAD tools is preferred.
Sketching, concept development, 3D modelling and product visualisation skills are an advantage.
Interest in ergonomics, usability, materials, enclosures and manufacturing considerations.
Academic, personal or self-initiated design projects are welcome.
A portfolio showcasing relevant work is highly encouraged.
Must be available for a full-time six-month internship and able to join immediately.
Key responsibilities:
Research user needs, product opportunities and competing solutions.
Generate product ideas, concepts, sketches and design alternatives.
Develop industrial design concepts, product forms and ergonomics.
Consider usability, user experience and product functionality.
Create 3D CAD models, assemblies and product details.
Support enclosure design, mechanism development and component integration.
Explore rapid prototyping, 3D printing and physical model development.
Consider materials, manufacturing methods and design-for-manufacturing principles.
Benchmark existing products and analyse design improvements.
Collaborate with mechanical, electronics and embedded engineering teams.
Prepare design presentations, CAD files and technical documentation.
Your learning journey: Problem → Research → Concept → Design → Engineering → Prototype → Validation.
The focus is on designs that can progress beyond visual concepts towards engineering, prototyping and manufacturing.
